Urticaria (also called “hives” or “wheals”) is a common skin condition that causes the skin to become red, swollen and itchy. It can happen anywhere on the body and some children may also get deeper swelling in the skin called “angioedema” which can be seen on their lips and face.

Viral exanthem is the medical name given to the widespread skin rash that can come with a viral infection. These types of rashes are common in children and babies and are usually harmless.

Vitiligo is a condition where patches of skin, and sometimes hair, lose their colour. It occurs due to a loss of our pigment producing cells in the skin known as melanocytes.
